King Fahd Airport to be inaugurated at end of October

King Fahd International Airport will be opened on October 27 in Dammam. It is to be the most modern airport in Middle East and the third international airport in Saudi Arabia.
Mazin Abou El-Huda, the general manger of the airport, said the new airport will be considered the east gate of Saudi Arabia to the external word and provide links between the far East and Europe as well as the areas of the kingdom.
The airport is designed to handle 5 million passengers in the first stage then receive 16 million passengers per year and the movement of 15 planes at the same time.
El-Huda said the airport includes the first free shops in the Saudi airports to serve passengers, which will pave the way for expanding them in all the kingdom's airports.
