Sudanese opposition leaders to meet in Cairo on Saturday

The body of the Sudanese Democratic National Alliance's leadership, which includes the leaders of Sudanese opposition parities and factions, is to hold a meeting on Saturday in Cairo.

Fathee Shela, the secretary general of the Sudanese Democratic Unionist Party abroad, said the leaders of 13 political parties and factions will specify in this important meeting the Sudanese opposition's stance towards the communications which are fulfilled under the framework of the Egyptian - Libyan initiative.

It will also address the reply of the Sudanese government, and a complete evaluation of the current political situation will be made by the leaders. They will study the reports of the seven committees which were formed in the previous meeting of the leadership's body in Asmara in June, including the committee on the political solution.

He said the opposition's prospective for a political solution concerning comprehensive reports was prepared, which will be discussed in the meeting and which includes many key points, the first of which is establishing a multi-party democratic system in which rights and duties are equal.

He added, "The political solution choice is strategic aim for the Sudanese opposition, and isn't imposed by any front."
