Shamseddine confers with Iranian ambassador in Beirut

The chairman of the Higher Shiite Islamic Council in Lebanon, Sheikh Muhammad Mahdi Shamseddine, on Wednesday in Beirut received the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon, Muhammad Ali al-Sabhani, and the Iranian charge de affairs at the embassy, Muhammad Irani.
Conditions in south Lebanon and certain issues of mutual concern were discussed during the meeting.
Following the meeting, the Iranian ambassador stressed Iran's full backing for the Lebanese resistance against the daily Israeli attacks in south Lebanon and the western Bekaa.
He commended the national unity in Lebanon and the unanimous stances adopted by the Lebanese towards their main issues.
