France sets up Islamic institute

The Paris School of Social Science Higher Studies will be setting up an Institute for Studies on Islamic World Societies, said a press release by the French department of national education, research and technology.
The Institute will train experts and provide researchers with reference material on Islam and studies conducted in the Moslem world. It will also be an open door to people to find out about Islamic culture.
A network covering French territory and branching out abroad will connect scholars in France to research teams concerned with Islam all over the world.
