Tunis hosts Moroccan-Tunisian partnership meeting next week
Tunisia-Morocco, Economics, 10/13/1999

The second Moroccan-Tunisian economic and commercial partnership meeting will be held in Tunis October 18 through 21.

The meeting is meant to upgrade economic partnership between the two states and enhance relations between economic operators.

The Moroccan delegation represents the sectors of agri-business, construction and public works, mechanical industries, handicraft, computer sciences, and services.

Morocco and Tunisia are bound by several cooperation accords embracing all fields and have set up last March a free-trade area.

The free-trade area related accord provides for the suppression, with immediate effect, of all duties on some 2,000 non-agricultural products carrying below 10 % customs duty.

The other custom duties will be gradually lowered up to year 2007.
