Saudi Arabia asserts the involvement of al-Sayegh in Khobar bombing
Saudi Arabia, Politics, 10/12/1999

Saudi Interior Minister Prince Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz said his country has received Hani al-Sayegh, confirmed that the Saudi authorities have information and proof affirming the involvement of al-Sayegh in the explosion.

Moreover, in his statements today, he said Hani al-Sayegh is now in the hands of the Saudi justice, referring to al-Sayegh's arrival in Saudi Arabia. The investigations started into him following his arrival, and he was prevented from charging a lawyer for himself.

After his arrival, al-Sayegh, who was accused in the Khobar Towers bombing in 1996 in Saudi Arabia, will be tried according to Islamic legislation, which means that if his involvement is proved, he will be sentenced to death.
