Al-Sayegh's wife denies her husband's involvement's in Khobar attack
Saudi Arabia-USA, Politics, 10/12/1999

Hakima al-Qatri, the wife of Saudi citizen Hani al-Sayegh, who was accused of being involved in the explosion of Khobar Towers three years ago, denied her husband's involvement in the incident, saying, "He was out of Saudi Arabia a month before the accident, and he arrived a period after the accident."

"Then How he did that?" asked his wife.

She added that all the family and the neighbors of al-Sayegh were surprised by this accusation, saying the Saudi authorities didn't inform her of her husband's arrival, but she learned from the newspaper and foreign radio.

She also said, "All the lawyers refused to participate in his defense," clarifying that, "There was only one lawyer who accepted his defense, yet he reneged again and apologized, demanding that the communications with him must be through the interior ministry."

She refused to comment on the lawyers' refusal to defend her husband, saying, "I will go to the Interior Ministry to find a lawyer, and the truth will be revealed. The truth will be revealed."
