UK ambassador discusses establishing British university and increasing investment in Egypt
Egypt-UK, Economics, 10/12/1999

Graham Polis, the UK ambassador at Cairo, said that a study is currently being made to establish a UK university in Egypt to work during three years, saying that establishing it comes within the UK instructions to increase the volume of dealings with Egypt and develop relations on all tracks.

He emphasized during his meeting yesterday with members of the Egyptian Businessmen's Association on the British day the importance of revitalizing the commercial missions' work between the two countries. The Egyptian Businessmen's Association is holding a series of international days for promoting Egyptian trade with international partners.

He added that the volume of British exports to Egypt reached $815 million last year in comparison to $465 million, which is the volume of imports.
