Algerian president for direct with Moroccan king to settle disputes

Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika has welcomed the visit of Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah to Algeria due on Monday and described it as an assertion of consolidating consultations and relations between the two countries.

On Algerian - Moroccan relations and the efforts made by Saudi Arabia to strengthen these relations, the Algerian president stressed in a statement to the Saudi daily Okaz published on Monday that, "Algeria is fully ready to open a new page in these relations with Morocco." He continued, "I am ready to open dialogue, and without any reserve, with my brother the king of Morocco, on whatever topic and whatever the difficulty of data."

As for conditions in Algeria, President Bouteflika stressed the ability of the Algerian people and their determination to eliminate hardships. "We have achieved big strides in the process of peace and national concord," he said.
