Israel continues striking south Lebanon

Israel Radio on Monday reported the death of one member of the Israeli-allied South Lebanon Army militia in the occupied part of south Lebanon. The soldier was seriously wounded at the end of September following an attack by the Lebanese resistance against a SLA militia position in the occupied part of south Lebanon.

Meanwhlie, the Israeli forces on Monday renewed their attacks against areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said the Israeli forces positioned in al-Bayada and al-Hardoun sites mopped up, using heavy machine-gun fire, the outskirts of al-Mansouri town and Beyout al-Seyyad farm in the western sector of south Lebanon.

Meanwhile Lebanese security sources said the Israeli artillery bombarded on Monday the outskirts of Yater town, using 155 mm shells.

The bombardment covered the outskirts of Jibal al-Butoum, Kafra and al-Assi district in the western sector.

The Israeli bombardment resulted in damage to four houses in al-Mansouri town in the western sector of south Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said the enemy bombardment struck the main water reservoir in the town.

In retaliation, the Lebanese resistance attacked on Monday the two occupation positions in al-Hardoun and al-Bayada inside the occupied part of south Lebanon, using machine guns and rockets. Direct hits were achieved, the resistance said in its statement.
