Abu Marzouk meets with Sheikh Shamseddine

The Jordanian daily al-Dostour said on Monday that Hamas political bureau member Moussa Abu Marzouk met on Sunday in Beirut with the chairman of the higher Shiite council in Lebanon, Sheikh Muhammad Mahdi Shamseddine, in order to learn the results of mediation efforts exerted by the Mufti with the Jordanian king to end the crisis between the Jordanian government and Hamas.
The paper added, according to well-informed sources, that Sheikh Shamseddine informed Abu Marzouk that he had received a promise from Jordan to close the file of the Hamas movement within one week, but he gave no further details.
