King Mohammed tours several regions of the kingdom

King Mohammed VI starts this Monday a ten day tour to take him to several Moroccan wilayas and provinces to consolidate direct ties with the people an official statement said.
The areas include Casablanca, Kenitra, Larache, Tangier, Tetuan, Chefchaouen, al Hoceima, Nador, Oujda, Taza, Fes and Meknes.
In Casablanca where he arrived this Monday noon, the king accompanied by Prince Moulay Rachid, will launch construction works of the highway network to connect Casablanca, Rabat, Settat and El Jadida and visit the city convention and exhibition center nearing completion.
Activities in the city also include visits to the Bouskoura medical and rehabilitation center for the handicapped and the Hassan II Mosque Museum and Library.
King Mohammed VI will also launch construction works of the Casablanca Stadium to host the opening and closing games of the World Soccer Cup in 2006, if Moroccan candidacy is elected by FIFA.
The king will address the nation at the end of the visit to Casablanca on Tuesday afternoon.
