US official to visit Egypt

US Assistant Secretary of State for Economic Affairs Alan Larson is to arrive tomorrow in Cairo for the first time since he succeeded Stuart Eizenstat in that capacity.
He is expected to meet during his visit to Cairo with Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa as well as officials in the ministries of economy and finance.
Discussions are expected to tackle the developing economical and commercial relations between Egypt and the USA in light of the Mubarak - Gore initiative and the mechanism for joint work in trade and investment through the US - Egyptian partnership council.
