Kuwait fights drugs

The Kuwaiti Ministry of the Interior has continued its campaign to eliminate drugs in Kuwaiti society. In a statement to the Kuwaiti daily al-Seyasah published on Saturday, the Kuwaiti interior ministry's secretary, Nasser Ahmad al-Othman, said the ministry will intensify its monitoring of drug dealers on all levels, regardless of their social positions in Kuwait. The paper added that so far some 30 kg of drugs was confiscated, and some 80 drug traders and dealers were arrested.
