Al-Majali gives details on his assault by Israeli settlers

The speaker of the Jordanian parliament, Abdul Hadi al-Majali, has briefed the Jordanian parliament's members on the details of the attacks against him and members of an accompanying parliamentary delegation by Israeli settlers during his visit to the occupied city of Hebron on Saturday.

The meeting of the Jordanian Parliament came at the request of al-Majali in order to acquaint the parliamentarians with what had happened as well as to brief them on the details of the visitby the Jordanian parliamentary delegation to the Palestinian government.

Meanwhile, the Jordanian ambassador in Tel Aviv, Omar al-Refa was due to submit on Sunday an official note of protest from the Jordanian government to the Israeli Foreign Ministry. The note was to express the denunciation of the Jordanian government of the assault against the Jordanian parliamentary delegation in Hebron on Saturday at the hands of the Israeli settlers.
