Israeli - Palestinian meeting tomorrow to discuss prisoner issue
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 10/9/1999
The Palestinian government decided to hold a meeting with Israel to decide the question of the Palestinian prisoners who Israel refused to release yesterday according to what was decided in the Sharm El-Sheikh accord.
The Palestinians accused Israel of violating the Sharm El-Sheikh accord through intervening in choosing the Palestinian prisoners who are to be released.
Moreover, the Palestinian side threatened to boycott the final status negotiations if Israel doesn't stop building settlements in the occupied areas.
Palestinian sources said, "There is a trend to inform the U.S.A of freezing the negotiations with Israel till the immediate implementation of releasing the Palestinian prisoners from the Israeli jails is fulfilled without restriction or conditions."
