Britain intends to establish military cooperation with Mauritania

Britain announced on Friday its intention to establish military cooperation with Mauritania and said it will discuss means of giving backing to this country in the areas of education and economic partnership.
AFP quoted Anthony Michael, the new British ambassador to Mauritania, as saying that the two countries may conduct joint military maneuvers, but no date was set yet for that.
The British diplomat, who submitted his credentials to Mauritanian President Maaouya Ould Taya added that he also discussed with the Mauritanian president support that can be given by Britain to Mauritania in the fields of education and economic partnership.
