Members of the Sudanese parliament demand national rapport
Sudan, Politics, 10/8/1999

Members of the Sudanese National Council urged the government to go on in achieving rapport among the Sudanese people and asked a large number of members in the session held by the council today to form a parliamentary committee under the chairmanship of the head of the parliament to push the current endeavors in this matter.

The members also urged the government not be affected be the explosion incident that hit a petroleum pipeline with what negatively reflects on the efforts aimed at achieving national unity.

They also urged the opposition to come back home to close the door before schemes that target Sudan's unity.
