47 countries participate in Kuwait international investment forum

47 countries requested to participate in an international investment forum in Kuwait, which will be held at the beginning of the coming year and will be organized by the Center for the Arab Research in Kuwait.

The forum aims at establishing joint foreign - Kuwaiti projects in industrial, commercial and agricultural fields to diversify away from dependence on petroleum, as well as displaying the draft of the foreign investment law intended to be issued at the beginning of the new year which includes means of attracting foreign investments.

These measures include providing customs exemptions, taxes incentives, transferr of profits tothe outside of the country, reducing the requirements for Kuwaiti partner's share in business ventures, as well as offering to establish foreign projects through the Kuwaiti free trade zone that was established two months ago.
