Morocco and Quebec conclude convention for protection of Moroccans settled in Canadian province

Morocco and the Canadian French-speaking province of Quebec have put the final touches to a bilateral convention for social security of Moroccan nationals living in the province. The convention is expected to be signed in the beginning of 2000.
In June 1998, Morocco and the federal government of Canada had signed a convention of social security that remained suspended pending the ratification by Quebec. Most of Moroccans settled in Canada are living in Quebec.
