Syrian ambassador to Cairo: There is no coolness in the Egyptian - Syrian relations
Syria-Egypt, Politics, 10/7/1999
Issah Darwish, Syria's ambassador to Cairo, stated that Egyptian - Syrian relations are very fine and there is no coolness in them, adding that there is an understanding of points of view between the two states regarding issues of Arab solidarity and solving disputes, and especially on reaching a permanent, comprehensive, just peace and liberating all the occupied Arab lands, the return of the occupied Syrian Golan to Syria and the Israeli withdrawal to lines of June 4, 1967.
This came in a statement Darwish made after receiving Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid today, adding that Egyptian - Syrian relations are in their best condition.
This assessment was also given by Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Sharaa and Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa during the recent Arab League council.
