Final countdown for opera Aida starts at the pyramids

The Egyptian opera house received yesterday the theater built by the engineering organization in the armed forces for performances of the opera Aida, which is considered opera of the end of the century, between October 12 and 17.

Mustafa Nagi, head of the opera said that the final rehearsals for Aida 1999 will start today in the new theater, which is considered the biggest moveable theater with modern and advanced technology till October 11 under the supervision of Abd El-Monem Kamel, the director of the show for this year.

Nagi confirmed the great demand to attend Aida this year from Egypt and the Arab states as well as from tourism delegations, adding that the reservation percentage for the opening party reached till today 90% while the rest of reservations reached 70% to be increased to 80% with the beginning of the shows.
