Egyptian Businessmen's Association calls for supporting navigation line between Egypt and East Africa

The Egyptian Businessmen's Association urged all exporters and importers to support the first navigation line between Egypt and eastern Africa which was opened by Egyptian Minister of Trade and Supply Ahmed Goweili in August.

Said El-Taweel, the head of the association, stated that the only way to increase the Egyptian exports is to focus on the African markets, as there is a great potential that has not yet exploited in these markets, adding that opening this navigation line removed a main obstacle that stood before increasing Egyptian exports to the African states.

For his part, Sayed Abu El-Komsan, the first undersecretary of the Trade Ministry and head of the foreign trade sector in the ministry, criticized the absence of most of importers from this meeting, which was organized by the Egyptian Businessmen's Association and aimed at supporting this Egyptian navigation line, which faces severe competition from lines run by foreign countries.
