Iran, Saudi Arabia for boosting cooperation

Former Iranian President Hashami Rafsanjani on Tuesday called for developing Iranian - Saudi relations for the interests of the two countries and the welfare of the Islamic and Arab states and peoples and countries of the region.
During his meeting on Tuesday in Tehran with Saudi Minister of Industry and Electricity Hashem Bin Abdullah al-Yamani, Rafsanjani said the experience of increasing oil prices in the world markets, which came as a result of Saudi-Iranian cooperation, had proved the importance of cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, the Saudi minister stressed his country's desire to develop its relations with Iran in various fields, indicating the key role played by Iran in the region.
Earlier in the day, the Saudi minister held a round of talks with Iranian Industry Minister Ghulam Rida Shafee, during which economic and industrial relations between the two countries were reviewed and means of strengthening and developing them and the possibility of investing joint Saudi and Iranian capital in economic and building projects in the two countries and other countries in the region and the world.
