Solidarity delegation with the Iraqi people arrives in Wahran
Iraq-UK, Politics, 10/6/1999

A delegation for solidarity with the Iraqi people arrived on Tuesday in Wahran coming from the Moroccan city of Wajda. It includes several British and Arab writers and intellectuals, led by a parliament member for the British Labor Party, George Galloway, in the context of its tour of several Arab and European countries.

The tour of this delegation was organized by the Mariam charity society, named after an Iraqi child who had leukemia, and the association of Arab lawyers in London led by Sabah al-Mukhtar.

The caravan started its tour from the British capital, London, on September 5, and so far it visited France, Spain, and Morocco, and will continue its tour from Algeria to Tunisia, Libya and Egypt and then return to Baghdad on November 5 in order to provide medicines to Iraqis who suffer from the siege imposed on Iraq.
