Jordanian-Iranian committee meets in Tehran

The fourth session of the Iranian- Jordanian joint committee started in Tehran on Monday evening. The Iranian side was led by Minister of Industry Ghulam Rida Shafee, and the Jordanian side was led by Industry Minister Muhammad Asfour.
The two sides discussed means of developing and strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, especially in the economic and industrial fields.
The Iranian minister stressed his country's readiness to put all its potential and technical, industrial and technological experience at the disposal of Jordan. He expressed Iran's desire to develop its relations with the countries of the region, including Jordan, in all areas.
For his part, the Jordanian minister called for reactivating the work of joint committees and raising the level of commercial exchange to the level required by the two countries.
It is scheduled that at the conclusion of the works of the joint committee, several joint cooperation agreements will be signed in the fields of land and sea transport and petrochemical industries.
