Kuwait holds foodstuffs ships to Iraq

The Kuwaiti security authorities have held three ships carrying foodstuffs, fodder and other commodities to Iraq in apparent violation to the international sanctions imposed on Baghdad.
In a statement quoted by the Kuwaiti news agency, KUNA, on Tuesday, the Kuwaiti ministry of the interior said the three ships were loaded with hundreds of tonnes of foodstuffs, and the security authorities in Kuwaiti held the three ships when they entered Kuwaiti territorial waters.
