Symposium regarding the tragic situation of the Iraqi children

A discussion symposium was held in Baghdad yesterday regarding the health and food situations as well as the childhood problem in Iraq due to the economic sanctions imposed since 1990. Iraqi Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Sadi Tumah Abbas said during the discussions that the sanctions caused the spread of diseases that were not present in Iraq before 1990, as well as malnutrition and psychological diseases which lead to the death of a large number of people.
