Iran urges lifting of economic sanctions from Iraq

Iranian Minister of Industry Qolam Reza Shafei asserted the importance of lifting the economic sanctions from the Iraqi people as soon as possible to end the Iraqi people's suffering. During his discussions with his Iraqi counterpart, Adnan Abd al-Majid Jasim al-Ani, in Tehran, he said that Iran urges solving the area's problems through the area's countries themselves with understanding and cooperation, as well as removing tensions and misunderstandings, adding that his country opposes foreign presence in the area which is considered the main part of the problem.
