Syrian woman member to world council for teaching adults

The Syrian Higher Council for Eradicating Illiteracy was accepted as a member of the International Council for Teaching Adults during its recent meeting held in Manila, the Philippines.
The meeting elected the director of illiteracy eradication department at the Syrian Cultural Ministry, Ghada al-Jabi as the chief of the Arab Network of Illiteracy Eradication and the Teaching of Adults, and the deputy chief of the international council.
The deputy director general of the Arab League Education Culture and Sciences Organization (ALECSO), Abdul Aziz as-Sonbul, was also elected as another deputy of the council for the Arab states.
