King Abdullah to visit Washington Wednesday

Jordan's King Abdullah Bin Hussein will head on Wednesday to Washington for an official visit, during which he will meet with US President Bill Clinton to discuss the peace process and the US economic and military aid to Jordan.
An official Jordanian source said today that a bilateral summit between King Abdullah and President Clinton will be convened on Friday in the attendance of Jordanian Foreign Minister Abd al-Illah al-Khatib and US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, adding that this meeting will be the second between the two leaders since King Abdullah assumed power.
The source added that the summit will discuss the peace process, implementation of the Sharm El-Sheikh accord, the possibility of resuming negotiations on the Lebanese and Syrian tracks with Israel as well as leaders' perceptions regarding means of resuming negotiations.
