Yemen gets $2 million from Islamic Development Bank

The board of directors of the Islamic Development Bank agreed to Yemen's request to participate in a project for establishing water barriers in Abyan governorate to increasing water reserves as well as to benefit frmo flood water in irrigation instead of wasting it in the sea.
A statement issued by the Yemeni embassy in Cairo said the bank, which takes the Saudi city of Jeddah as its headquarters, agreed to participate in the project with 70% of the total cost, which is estimated at $2 million, knowing that the Yemeni government will provide the remaining amount from the general budget.
