Yemeni president takes constitutional oath

Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Saturday took his constitutional oath before the Yemeni Parliament for the Yemeni Presidency after he won the presidential elections that took place in Yemen on September 23.
Sanaa radio said the Yemeni President stressed in a speech he delivered on the occasion that he will continue serving his country and its citizens for the interests of the Yemeni Republic.
In his speech, the Yemeni President also vowed that the coming phase in Yemen will witness great development in all services areas, readjustment of the main systems as well as building a solid infrastructure in all the state's departments.
The Yemeni president also stressed the implementation of the system of law and implementing all released legislation. He said, "Yemen is the country of all, and every citizen is responsible for it."
