Report Iraqi prisoners of war ask for asylum in Iran

Tehran Radio said on Saturday that two Iraqi prisoners of war asked for asylum in Iran and refused to return to Iraq after Iran released them within a group of prisoners that included 276 Iraqi prisoners.
The Iranian radio report added that about 10,000 Iraqi prisoners have asked for asylum in Iran through the International Committee of the Red Cross since the beginning of the prisoner exchange process between the two countries until the present time.
