Regional, Culture, 10/2/1999

The Islamic Scientific Educational and Cultural Organization (ISESCO, based in Rabat) is holding in Rabat this Saturday an academic symposium on the holy city of Al-Quds (Jerusalem).

The symposium is held as part of the commemoration of the anniversary of liberation of Al-Quds by Sultan Salahddin Al-Ayubi, coinciding with the 2nd of October, ISESCO said in a release.

Presentations will be made by the participants on the historical, legal and political aspects of the question of Al-Quds in the light of the latest developments of the Palestinian question in general and Al-Quds in particular.

The symposium -- attended by the members of the Islamic diplomatic corps accredited to Rabat, the representatives of local, international, Arab and Islamic media and other personalities -- is chaired by Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, ISESCO Director General.
