Saudi Arabia-Sudan, Economics, 10/1/1999
A Saudi relief aircraft, loaded with humanitarian relief supplies, flew on wednesday for Sudan to assist in alleviating damage inflicted by the floods in the North of the country.
The Saudi press agency (SPA) said that the aircraft, one of two, was ordered by the deputy king prince Abdullah Bin Abdel Aziz to transport 44 tons of foodstuff and relief supplies to Sudan.
The second aircraft is due to leave soon.
The Northern town of Dongola was hit by Nile river flooding that damaged civilian homes and displaced thousands of people.
