Moussa accuses US State Department report of partiality
Egypt, Politics, 10/1/1999
Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa accused the US State Department Annual Report on International Religious Freedom for 1999 of being partial and including false information, saying that Egypt will discuss this seriously and strongly saying "we must be ready to reply to it."
He added in his meeting with the participants in the symposium on "The role of the Arab media in spreading the culture of human rights," which concluded its work yesterday in Cairo, that this report is a part of the civilizational conflict, and, "We must strongly stand for protecting the national identity."
Moussa urged Sudan on closing the file of the medicine factory temporarily, "because we need the international community's efforts, especially the U.S role, in solving the Sudanese problem," adding that raising this case stirs up lots of problems.
He also urged the closure of the issue of trying the Israeli leaders who committed war crimes in the occupied Arab lands temporarily.
