King Mohammed will attend millennium summit in 2000

King Mohammed VI will take part in the Millennium summit slated to be held in year 2000, in response to an invitation extended by the U.N Secretary General Kofi Annan.
The Moroccan king's answer was conveyed to Kofi Annan by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Mohamed Benaissa, at a meeting in New York on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues, including the situation in Africa, with a special emphasis on North Africa. Some of the items tackled in Benaissa's address before the U.N General Assembly were also brought up.
