Maroc Aviation subcontracting with Airbus jumps by 40%

Subcontracting operations carried out by Maroc Aviation for Airbus company increased by 40% in 1999, going up from $1 million in 1998 to 1.6 million this year.
The increase will be maintained in the coming years, as Maroc Aviation has a full orders schedule up to year 2004, Airbus officials said. Subcontracting accounts for 17 to 25 of Airbus' turnover.
Airbus posted a turnover of 13.3 billion in 1998 and $ 7.7 billion from January to June 1999.
Maroc Aviation makes and assembles airplanes' cabin modules (bulkheads, cloakrooms, pilot tablets).
