Swedish cultural institution in Alexandria

An agreement to establish a Swedish cultural institution in Alexandria was signed yesterday at the Egyptian Foreign Ministry's headquarters.
On the Egyptian side, the agreement was signed by Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs Fathi El-Shazeli, while for the Swedish side, it was signed by Christer Solvein, Sweden's ambassador to Cairo.
The Swedish ambassador expressed after signing the agreement - his happiness for signing it assuring that establishing this institution in Egypt could contributes in deepening cooperation and good relations between the two countries.
El-Shazeli also said, "Signing this agreement forms an excellent contribution to enhancing bilateral relations and Egypt's and Sweden's efforts to establish a Euro-Mediterranean partnership."
