International sciences council holds assembly in Cairo

The International council of sciences started on Monday an assembly conference in Cairo with the participation of experts from 69 states, including six Arab states, as well as representatives of International organizations.
The conference, the first to be held outside a group of seven (G-7), will cover a host of issues such as international food security, the use of science in this regard, the problem of water in food production, in addition to the tropical agricultural biotechnology.
The five-day conference will also discuss the production of seeds and its effect on agriculture and above all, scientific ethics.
