Morocco, Economics, 9/28/1999
Moroccan minister of industry, trade and handicraft, Alami Tazi, is currently visiting Bulgaria for talks on means to reactivate economic cooperation and diversify trade exchanges.
Talks will also explore means of involving the private sector in giving a boost to trade exchanges and consolidating the exchange of information and experience.
Alami Tazi will visit the international fair of Vlovdiv, one of the major trade events in central Europe. Morocco is participating in the fair with an information stand.
In 1998, trade exchanges between Morocco and Bulgaria amounted to nearly $ 26 million. Morocco's exports to the central European country are mainly made up of phosphates, lead and zinc while imports consist of wheat and glass.
