Israel refuses Syrian demand to declare readiness to withdraw from the Golan

Israel refused the Syrian demand that Israel declares its readiness for the complete withdrawal from Golan before resuming the negotiations between the two sides.
On the other hand, the Israel Radio said that Israeli Foreign Minister David Levy renewed this refusal during his meeting his yesterday in New York with US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.
Moreover, following his meeting, in which the Syrian track of peace process prevailed according to what was said by Israel Radio, the Israeli minister added that the USA has new ideas for resuming the Syrian - Israeli negotiations.
