Amr Moussa meets with US ambassador in Cairo

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa received Daniel Kurtzer, the US ambassador in Cairo, who said after the meeting that things related to peace process were discussed in the US - Egyptian coordination and discussion.

In answering journalists' questions regarding Madeleine Albright's criticism of Egypt's stance toward multilateral negotiations, he said the "USA never spoke in a negative way or directed criticism to Egypt, and we think that the multilateral negotiations must be resumed as soon as possible, especially on the urgent causes like water and environment in light of the last progress in peace process, especially after Sharm El-Sheikh agreement and the beginning of its implementation."

Kurtzer added, "We are currently discussing with different parties in the area, among which is Egypt, the best time to start these negotiations."
