Arab conference for water convenes today in Beirut

Egyptian Minister of Public Works and Water Resources Mohammed Abu Zeid stated that the international Arab conference for water that will start today in Beirut, Lebanon.
The conference will make in its final recommendations on Friday on a future vision for Arab water in the coming century, which is considered among the vital matters to the Arab states, which currently suffer from a severe lack of fresh water resources.
Fatma Abd El-Rahman, the head of the Egyptian delegation, said in the conference that preparing such a future vision will vitally contribute to preparing the international statement to be made by the World Council for Water in March in the Hague, Holland, so that it will reflect the Arab point of view.
