Al-Sharaa meets with counterparts in New York

Syrian Foreign Minister Farouk al-Sharaa met on Monday in New York with Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque. Talks between the two ministers dealt with the most important issues listed on the agenda of the 54th session of the UN General Assembly and the south summit due to be held in April in Havana. Bilateral relations between Syria and Cuba were also reviewed by the two ministers.

Al-Sharaa also met with Sudanese FM Mustafa Othman Ismael, and the two ministers reviewed current conditions in the Middle East and bilateral relations between Sudan and Syria.

Later in the day, al-Sharaa met with his Qatari counterpart, Hamad Bin Jasem Bin Jaber al-Thani, and discussions covered the latest developments pertaining to the Middle East peace process as well as bilateral relations between Syria and Qatar.
