SLA senior official killed by Lebanese resistance

The chief of the Israeli-allied South Lebanon Army militia's intelligence in the central sector of the Israeli occupied sone of south Lebanon, Fawzi al-Saghir (45), was killed on Monday when the Lebanese resistance detonated a roadside bomb on Monday. Al-Saghir's driver was also killed and many others wounded, according to Lebanese security officials.
News reports from south Lebanon said that a second militia security official, Jihad Qasem, was wounded in the blast and was rushed to Marjyoun hospital, which is under Israeli occupation.
In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said a resistance group attacked on Monday morning an armored Israeli vehicle while moving on the road of the Beaufort which is held by the Israeli occupation forces. The Lebanese resistance attacked the Israeli vehicle with rockets and mortars upon its arrival at the southern entrance of Beaufort position.
On Sunday night, Lebanese resistance forces attacked Israeli armored vehicles from the Beer Klab positions, using machine guns and rockets.
The resistance also attacked an on-foot Israeli patrol at Kassaret al-Aroush, achieving accurate hits.
Another Lebanese resistance group attacked Barachit, using machine guns and rockets.
Further reports from south Lebanon said the Israeli artillery positioned in al-Zaffata and Beaufort bombarded on Monday al-Hamra farm, the outskirts of Zouter east and Zouter west, Yahmur plain, Sujoud, al-Rayhan woods and Aqmata farm.
Other reports from south Lebanon said the Israeli warplanes on Monday afternoon raided the northern part of the occupied strip of south Lebanon, according to Lebanese security forces. The sources added that on Monday evening Israeli warplanes launched four raids on Naba al-Tasse, Ein Duswar and al-Tuffah hills.
The sources added that the Israeli plains fired more than 12 air-to-surface missiles on the said areas.
In retaliation, the Lebanese army and resistance anti-aircraft guns opened fire at the planes, which dropped thermal balloons.
Meanwhile, the Israeli warplanes carried out mock and provocative raids at low altitude over the western central and eastern sectors, Nabatiyah and al-Tuffah areas.
Meantime, the Lebanese resistance forces ambushed an Israeli armored convoy upon entering al-Rayhan barracks and attacked it with rockets. An Israeli vehicle was set ablaze. Another Lebanese resistance group attacked Beer Klab position, using rockets and machine-guns. A third Lebanese national resistance group attacked Sujoud position with rockets.
