Iraqi sources assure US shelling of Al Faw

The Iraqi military stated that US jets shelled civilian sites near Al Faw city in southern Iraq and raided service establishments in Basra city and that these jets were coming from Saudi airspace.
They added that 20 formations of jets implemented 40 armed raids from Kuwaiti airspace and 20 from Saudi airspace, conducted by the early warning jets AWACS from the Saudi airspace, as well as a A-2C jet from Kuwaiti airspace.
The military also confirmed that the Iraqi resistance fired on the incoming jets, which launched since the beginning of the Operation Desert Fox in December, 1998 till now 10,436 air raids from the Saudi and Kuwaiti airspaces.
