Yemen releases three Britons
Yemen, Politics, 9/27/1999
Yemen on Sunday released three British citizens who were imprisoned on charges of planning attacks after they served their sentences.
AFP quoted the British general consul in Aden, David Purse, after he had visited the three jailed men as saying that they "are free to return to Britain and will return there within the few coming days."
The three men are among a group of foreigners all sentenced for periods ranging between seven months and seven years. They were arrested in December 1998.
