Arab Lawyers Union urges campaign to save Jerusalem, free Lebanese journalist

The Arab Lawyers Union urged legal organizations in the Arab and Islamic world to start an international campaign to defend Jerusalem's Arab nature. In a statement yesterday, the union asked to start an international and Islamic campaign to confront Israeli efforts to Judaize Jerusalem and turn it into Israel's capital.
The union decided to organize a meeting on Monday which will include representatives of international and Arab organizations as well as Arab thinkers and experts on international law to start a campaign to rescue the holy city.
The union renewed a campaign to release Lebanese journalist Cossette Ibrahim, detained in the Israeli prisons.
Meanwhile, an official source in the Arab League said AL Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid said yesterday in New York that the Arab states will not boycott the Walt Disney company after they obtained guarantees regarding references that Jerusalem is Israel's capital in its coming exhibition in Florida, pointing out that a discussion is made concerning Palestine's participation in the fair.
